Jerky controls

Post by tetedetoile »

Hello,

Since the last update of the Live Link Face app, when my iphone heats up, controls are getting jerky. Obviously, the fps lowers to 30, like before, but when I check the signals tab in KM Live, the scrolling isn't smooth like it was before. It looks like the fps isn"t constant.

I try my best to prevent my phone from heating with heat sinks and mini-fans, but before the update, I could use KML alright.even with my phone heating.

Hi,

i can't reproduce this issue. Which phone model are you using? Do you think that the "jerkiness" is because of the 30fps or something else? Did you calibrate your neutral face in the live link face app?

Hi Markus,

I'm using a dedicated iPhone Xr renewed.
I was using an older version of KML and when the phone was heating, the displayed fps on KML was running wild, jumping from 15 to 30 to 75 sometimes ! I downloaded the latest version of KML and the displayed fps is now constant at 60, despite the iPhone fps capped at 30. I've also noticed that as soon as the Live Link Face app detects over-heating and lowers the fps, the green smiley face of KML gets angry, that's when it's getting jerky.

I've tried to reinstall both KML and LLF and recalibrate neutral face, without any change. Maybe I could erase KML cache file ? Because my settings lasts after reinstallation.

Best,

Hi,

the settings.xml file is located in: C:\Users\[**USERNAME**]\AppData\Local\Xcessity Software Solutions\KinesicMouse Live

Delete or backup the settings.xml file from this folder and the KinesicMouse will return to stock settings.

Have you tried limiting the fps in the Live Link Face app to 30 permanently? Maybe the jerky movement is from switching between 30 and 60 fps permanently.
