What does threshold do?

Hello Crookedomar,

the "threshold" is the level at which a signal is considered "active".

Let's say we configured a signal "brows down" to range from 0.00 to 0.60 (in the Signals settings). In the Mouse Button settings we adjust the threshold slider to 50%. The button will be triggered at signal value 0.30. If you move the threshold lower (eg. 33%) the signal will be activated at 0.20.

So at the bottom line the lower the threshold, the more sensitive the activation will be. If you experience the action to be triggered too often without performing the necessary movement adjust the threshold to a higher level.

Hope that helps,
Best,
M

Hello,

Is there a difference between lower the treshold and lower the signal slider ?
In your example, if I let the treshold to 50% with a signal range from 0 to 0.4, is this the same ?

Hi,

yes, you can achieve the same result by adjusting the signal range sliders.

My recommendation for signal adjustment is:
  1. Calibrate your face in the Live Link Face app: https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.27/en-U ... alibration
  2. Adjust the signal range sliders so that you get a good controlled signal.
  3. Adjust the threshold sliders so that you get a good responsiveness.
Best,
M
