Possible Zoom Solution

Post by coxx16 »

Hi Guys,

So I know that many of you are interested in an added zoom function for the IRIS software. As many of you know, adding an external zoom function is possible but difficult due to the fact that some cheat detection software may detect this as a hack. I did some spelunking around the net the other day and came up with what may be a plausible alternative. Instead of a software or OS zoom solution, what if we used a physical magnifier to enlarge the image on either our entire screen or a portion of it?

We would first off need a magnification device that does not obstruct the EYEX's view of our eyes. I think the best option would be a magnification sheet that is around letter paper size (8.5 x 11) with at least 2x magnification a few inches away from the screen. I suppose we could rig some sort of gooseneck clamp on the top of the monitor that would hold the sheet a few inches away from the screen.

Magnifier Sheets:

In terms of enlarging a specific portion of the screen, namely the center, we could use or make something like this device:

I think that a device that enlargers the center portion of the screen would work well for FPS view because your eyes will continue to move off center until you settle on your target.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Any ideas?
