Re: Jerky controls

Hi, the settings.xml file is located in: C:\Users\[**USERNAME**]\AppData\Local\Xcessity Software Solutions\KinesicMouse Live Delete or backup the settings.xml file from this folder and the KinesicMouse will return to stock settings. Have you tried limiting the fps in the Live Link Face app to 30 per...

Re: Jerky controls

Hi,

i can't reproduce this issue. Which phone model are you using? Do you think that the "jerkiness" is because of the 30fps or something else? Did you calibrate your neutral face in the live link face app?

Re: KinesicMouse with Android/no iPhone

Hello TomIsHere, thank you for the input on MeFaMo. Unfortunately it confirms my initial thoughts on 2D cam based face trackers. On to your remarks: 1. My iPhone overheated when running the app for ~30 minutes and using default settings The "overheating" sounds worse than it really is. The...

Re: Shooter - IRIS aim?

Hi Keeptrucking, multiplayer FPS shooters are very competitive. It is hard to get the performance of Mouse/KB controls with the IRIS FPS view. I think if you can combine it with the KinesicMouse (or other assistive input devices) you can get close to the average skilled players. Let me know if you n...

Re: KinesicMouse with Android/no iPhone

Hello Benedikt, thank you for the suggestions. I have tried all Android alternatives and various face tracking packages based on webcam. There is nothing that comes even close to the accuracy and amount of signals as the Apple FaceID. It has the benefit of adding 3D depth data to the face tracking f...

Re: KinesicMouse live question

Hi, yes the old version performs the facial recognition processing on the PC CPU. It is quite intense and can affect other programs in their performance. The new KinesicMouse Live version does all that processing on the iPhone/iPad. The PC is under no noticeable load at all, as it receives all the t...

Re: New features

Hello, I got a request from Gábor for adding sounds to the KinesicMouse. I found that this is a really great idea and I have to admit it feels really great when I gave it a try. In the process I updated the whole build of the software to the latest library version. For users this might not make a di...
