Hi,

yes, the IRIS license is bound to the PC hardware. It should be possible to use the license key on the same computer as long it has the same hardware components.
If you decide on changing the PC please use the contact forms on the IRIS website. Send me your license key and drop me a line that you want to reset your registration. I will perform the reset manually for you.

Markus

Hi. I am a new member and have no option to post a new topic. I replied here as this is somewhat related to license key issues .
I have a really hard time registering my iris software. Norton firewall is disabled and set program rules to allow IRIS software to have access. Every time I try to register i keep getting the following error messages.
server reply: 403 Forbidden
reason: licence key not valid
server time: 2016/08/08 @ 11:37:17

I would appreciate if you can assist me in resolving this issues.

Hi,

server logs show that you accitentially attached an empty space character at the end of your license key. Copy the license string in your license mail as is and make sure that you don't include any trailing spaces.

Hello Markus,
I'm still using your demo-version and i also have some questions.

Do i need to go online everytime when i want to use Iris (the full-version) ?

And an other problem is that i switch hardware often. I'm a board Member of a computer club at my work. We have over 1000 people working at our hospital. So we sometimes get a lot of questions about hardware and their possibilities. Its our target to help and look what kind of hardware is needed. So we read a lot and we also test hardware (as much as possible).
My big question is; Is it possible to have "A stand-alone version of Iris on usb-stick" ? That would be very very helpfull. Maybe using a copy-protection linked at the "Eye Tracker serial number" ?

Keep on this great work. Iris seems to be a great help for many people. And i hope for me too. ;-)

Hi Guus,

once you activate the software with a licence key you do not need an internet connection any more to run IRIS.

I cannot offer an unlocked version that works on a USB stick, sorry about that. For single license keys I usually offer a reasonable amount of registrations per key, bcs I understand that people use it on multiple platforms.

For your specific case we can talk about a bundled license key. You can use one key to activate multiple devices. Contact me for a specific offer.

Best,
M
