Hey,

@sshurato: I really don't know much about the 3D scan/print stuff. All I know is that you also can scan objects with the Kinect for XBox One sensor and save them as *.OBJ file.

Yes there is actually a huge difference between the Kinect 360 and Kinect for Box One. Note that the latest version of the KinesicMouse does not support the Kinect 360 any more. I would not recommend spending money on the Kinect 360. It is less accurate and has a horrible min. depth tracking distance of +70 cm.

Best,
Markus

Hey,

I was wondering if the Kinect V2 does better at motion detection than the SR300 as well as the R200. Please compare the three as much as possible and let me know :)
Sorry for posting on such an old thread.

Generally motion detection is fairly equal on all cameras. The only benefit of the Intel cameras is that you can set them to fixed and higher frame rates which ultimately results in a smoother experience. Still to go beyond 30 fps you need a very powerful CPU.
Generally the Kinect V2 is the most versatile and best working sensor.
