CPU Usage & Recenter Tracking Using Facial Signal

Post by mdzura117 »

I have 2 questions:

1. Whenever I have kinesic mouse open, my CPU usage jumps to 100% and stays there. This seems to affect the frame rate. As soon as I open a game, the kinect drops to 7fps. I am using a different computer, and I don't remember this being an issue previously. I have the KinectV2 sensor on Windows 10, and my CPU is AMD A10-6800K. Any suggestions to fix this?

2. On my previous PC I configured kinesic mouse to recenter the tracking with a facial signal. I can't seem to find that option anywhere. Has it been removed? This was handy to reset tracking on the go if something went out of alignment.

Generally the KinesicMouse is very CPU intensive. So 60% at an i5-63000 seems to me pretty normal. I don't have much experience with AMD CPUs, yet the KinesicMouse depends on some optimization libraries by Intel. I would not be surprised if they do better on Intel based chips.
