New version, new camera support and price DROP!

Post by Xcessity »

Hi,

I have just uploaded the newest version of the KinesicMouse v3.2.4. The KM now supports the brand new Intel RealSense SR300 camera. As the price drop with IRIS turned out to be very successful I will also put a new tag on the KM: 59 EUR!

Here is a complete collection of the changes:
  • The ClickSwitch window now correctly displays it's buttons when (un)locked.
  • The KinesicMouse now supports the the new Intel RealSense SR300 3D camera.
  • [Intel RealSense] Updated to the newest RealSense SDK (10.0.26.396).
  • [Orbbec] Updated to the newest Orbbec Astra SDK (v0.5.0).

Is it true that you had to stop with the KM ? Is so, it a shame companies counteract good developments.
You have made good things. Keep on the good work and many thanks.

Will it support the RAZER STARGAZER camera as well and will it be compatible with Iris ?

I am confident that the KinesicMouse will support the Razer Stargazer camera. The Razer Stargazer is nothing else than a Intel RealSense SR300 in a different housing. Yet I can't confirm this claim, as the Razer camera is yet not available in Europe.

The Razer Stargazer will not work with IRIS. IRIS is a solution that is based on Eyetracking devices and not on 3D cameras. The hardware technology is completly different.

The link in the installation is not working.

"Step 1
Download and install the required packages:

Intel Depth Camera Manager (DCM) (first time only)"

I did managed to download a DCM for the camera but now i am getting a warning message in Kinestic mouse " The Intel Depth Camera Manager (DCM) is not available. Please follow the instuctions on the website (link works but link on the intel website doesn't - gives error page not found - ) and restart kinesic mouse"

Any idea's how to make it work. Thanks.

Greeting Harro.

EDIT: I am using the Razer Stargazer.

EDIT 2: Dispite the warning the program works.. However not combined with the EYEX tracker .. i am guessing both use the same infrared bandwith/ what ever.. point is they don't work together :(
