Re: Realsense gaming laptop
Hi Guillaume, the devices listed on the Intel RealSense site are not all available yet. The devices that seem to be ready to order are: ASUS ROG GL771JW (I own this laptop, model is: GL771JW-T7081H, good performance) Lenovo YOGA 15 i7-5500U (Got this from Intel as a test unit, foldable to a tablet, ...

Re: Editing of interactors could be easier
Hey Tobi, thank you for the suggestions. I can relate to all of them. Currently I am focusing on the new KinesicMouse build. With IRIS I will continue after that. The grid thing has been requested quite a few times now. Overall I will think about the complete design of IRIS. It evolved a lot since 1...

Re: FIFA 15
That's hard to tell. A concerning trend is that new games only accept the standard XBox controller and not a generic joystick any more. In FIFA 15 this can be modified via a 3rd party patch. It is hard to tell if that will work in FIFA 16.

FIFA 15
Hi, I am just in the process of building a FIFA 15 setup. Currently I think it is best to use the "Joystick" mode of the KinesicMouse. In order to use the virtual joystick of the KinesicMouse in this game you need to follow this guide: "using Generic USB Joysticks/Controllers with FIF...

Aim and Fire in FPS game
Here is a macro that will hold down the right mouse button (RMB), wait for 200ms and then hold down the left mouse button (LMB). Usually the RMB is used to aim down sights in an FPS and the LMB fires the weapon. <MACRO id="AimAndFire"> <START> <MOUSEBUTTONINPUT button="RIGHT" beh...

KinesicMouse for MacOS?
Hi, since I have been getting some requests if the KinesicMouse is available for Mac I want to reply in the forums. Currently none of the next-gen 3D cameras (Kinect V2, Intel RealSense) is available for Mac. So to answer the question: currently there are no plans to support MacOS any time soon. I w...

Hypersensitive Touchpad (Kickstarter)
Hi folks,
I found this project on kickstarter: The Sensel Morph
Looks interesting. Maybe something we can turn into an assistive device. Let me know what you think.
Best,
Markus

Re: Comparison between the Intel RealSense and the Kinect V2
Yes, these two are exactly the same. The "Kinect V2" bundle is actually discontinued. If you get the "Kinect for Xbox One" and "Kinect for Windows Adapter" you have the same Hardware as it was bundled in the "Kinect V2".

Re: Comparison between the Intel RealSense and the Kinect V2
Hey, hmm usually the Intel camera delivers the same results in quality as the Kinect. You have to be careful though with a few things: distance is important, the Intel tracking gets jaggy once the distance between the sensor and the face gets to big the IR of the Intel camera sometimes interferes wi...
