Re: licence key

Hi, yes, the IRIS license is bound to the PC hardware. It should be possible to use the license key on the same computer as long it has the same hardware components. If you decide on changing the PC please use the contact forms on the IRIS website. Send me your license key and drop me a line that yo...

Re: First use and calibration

F4 does activate the mouse movement per default. The FPS view is an interactor that moves the mouse, but is not afftected by turning on/off mouse movement. You need to look for the key assigned to pause/unpause the interactors and not the F4 key.

Re: Intel RealSense SR300 camera

Hi, Nose masks are used when you need a ventilator for breathing. The nose mask is usually a peace of plastic attached to a ventilator machine via tubes. These nose mask tend to cover quite a big area in the users face, so it is hardly predictable how good the tracking will work. The SR is surely at...

Re: Intel RealSense SR300 camera

Hi, it is very hard to tell if the SR300 outperforms the Kinect. Currently I don't have any feedback on the Intel RealSense SR300, as there are not many users yet. So I can only derive a conclusion from my own experience. So we have only a single testsample and therefore it is highly subjective. I c...

Re: Intel RealSense SR300 camera

Hi, yes. From my personal experience I rate the RealSense SR300 currently the best sensor. Compared to the previous model it has improved a lot (see screenshot attached). Compared to the Kinect the Intel cameras can be placed much closer to the face, as they do not have a minimal distance. This is h...

Re: IRIS v2.0 collection of suggestions

Note to myself:
Is there a possibility to display a timing indicator of the mouse dwelling time using Project IRIS now or in the future releases?

Re: Hold key for 8 seconds

Hi, Does "Stop macro on deactivation" have to be unchecked? Depends on what you want to achieve with the macro. If you set this checkmark the macro will be advanced to it's <END> section as soon as you stop doing the expression you bound the macro to. If you leave the checkbox empty the macro execut...

New version, new camera support and price DROP!

Hi, I have just uploaded the newest version of the KinesicMouse v3.2.4. The KM now supports the brand new Intel RealSense SR300 camera. As the price drop with IRIS turned out to be very successful I will also put a new tag on the KM: 59 EUR! Here is a complete collection of the changes: The ClickSwi...

Re: still supported?

I will soon release a new version of the KinesMouse, supporting the brand new Intel SR cam. So the project is still very well alive.

Re: User Account Control?

Hi, IRIS needs to have elevated permissions to display the UI in certain windows dialogs and to send inputs to dialogs windows considers critical. A good example would be typing on the Windows On-Screen keyboard using mouse inputs only works with elevated permissions. Or displaying the IRIS main men...
