IRIS v1.6 is now available

Hi, I just uploaded the new IRIS release. After reading through a lot of papers my stabilization filter for gaze data is now completed. You find the new settings in the "Advanced" tab. The new options are: Use smoothing filter If you enable the ckeckbox the filter will be applied to the gaze data st...

Left4Dead - Weapon Switch (Mouse Wheel Up/Down)

Hi, Unfortunately you cannot use the mouse wheel rotations that are available via the KinesicMouse gui. It would switch through the weapons too quickly. Here are the macros I used for switching weapons in Left4Dead video . They work as expected and switch one slot up/down. <MACRO id="SwitchWeaponUp"...

Re: KinesicMouse2 hardware requirements?

Hi kamithekira,

this is currently not planned for the KinesicMouse. Still I would be interested why you would need such a feature? How would it help controlling a computer?

Let me know, maybe there is something I can quickly throw together,
Best,

Markus

IRIS and KinesicMouse compatibility

Re: Where to get the sensor?

Hi, you can get the EyeX directly from tobii: order EyeX Kit . There is also a consumer version of the tobii EyeX called "Steelseries Sentry". This consumer version is available on amazon. It is more expensive than the EyeX developer kit version. So if you plan on using the EyeX with IRIS only it is...

Re: KinesicMouse2 hardware requirements?

Hi, certainly, the required hardware is a little confusing as there are quite some options now. So to avoid any confusion, the KinesicMouse is currently in the version 3.x and supports two different camera models: 1. Microsoft Kinect for Xbox ONE 2. Intel RealSense For the differences between these ...

Comparison between the Intel RealSense and the Kinect V2

Hi, so now that the KinesicMouse also supports the Intel RealSense Camera it is of course a big question which one to get. Generally you can get a device that has the Intel RealSense camera already built in, just like a normal webcam. So if you are looking for a new device anyways it might be a good...
