Re: about Kinect

Re: Kinesic mouse use in bed

Hi, yes quite a few users managed to use the KinesicMouse while lying in bed. Skirmantas, who supported me during the Connect Ability Challenge, even submitted a video of his bed setup . I think a few things are important to notice though: Your head shoud not be clearly distinguishable from the cush...

Re: How to control mouse with Kinesic other than moving head?

Hi,

you can only change the head rotational signals in the "Continous Mouse Mode". You can find the settings for the signals in Settings->Mouse->Continous Mode. Make sure to activate the Continous mode in the main window when testing this setup.

Re: Comparison between Obbec Astra S and Kinect ONE

Hi, the main difference between the Orbbec camera and the Kinect is in their hardware/software requirements. The Orbbec camera is the only sensor that can still run on Windows 7 systems and does NOT require USB 3.0. The tracking quality of the sensors is relatively equal. Still the Orbbec SDK has is...

Re: can not change Signal settings

Re: Kinect v1 works but KinesicMouse doesn't

You need to download an older version of the KinesicMouse to run it with the old Kinect generation. Be advised that the new KinesicMouse is much better with the newest 3D camera generation and is not compareable to the old version! Go to http://kinesicmouse.xcessity.at/demo_download.php and click on...

Re: Project Iris with Playstation or Xbox

Hi, people are using the KinesicMouse to play on Xbox or Playstation. So far I don't know any IRIS setups. You can use a cross-over USB stick to control the console from your PC. I recommend using the Titan One . If you want to use IRIS the setup will get tricky. I think it is certainly possible, bu...

Re: How are Project Iris initiated keypresses different from other software generated keypresses?

Hi, keyboard inputs are chained through several system layers when generated by physical hardware. You usually have a process like this: hardware interrupt generated by the keyboard the physical key number (=scan code) is interpreted by the keyboard driver and is translated to a virtual key number. ...
